Black mini dress armoured in cut, topstitched panels, with an articulated spine of laced plates from collar to hem, squared shoulder guards and cut-outs at the waist.
Nearly 1,000 hours of handwork.
L'inspiration
Samurai armour, in black. Down the back runs a column of small plates laced one to the next, the way a samurai's armour was laced with cord, so it bends with every step.
The shoulders are squared into guards like the sode of a yoroi, and the body is built from cut panels, each edged in topstitching. Nearly 1,000 hours of work.
