| L'établiNotes from the bench | The jacket is tailored first, as a jacket should be: canvassed fronts, set sleeves, a clean roll to the lapel. Then the back panel goes under the needle. The koi and lotus are thread-painted onto it, shade by shade, before assembly, so the image flows across the seams instead of breaking at them. The buttons are set last. |
